Writing guidelines for abstracts

As it is planned to publish the contributions online, the abstract must be drafted in such a way that the desired information is fully contained.

The following structure is planned:
a) Objective    b) Method    c) Result    d) Conclusion

  1. Due to the limited number of contributions, the Programme Commission asks for your understanding that a speaker may normally be listed as an author no more than three times.
  2. Please inform us if the author of the abstract and the presenter are not the same person.
  3. Only previously unpublished results should be submitted.
  4. The authors are responsible for clarifying any copyrights of third parties with regard to the contents of the abstract. Thus the authors guarantee that there are no third party rights on any illustrations, tables, etc. that prevent publication.
  5. In addition, the abstract submitter has the consent of all persons mentioned to submit or publish the personal data (name, clinic, address, e-mail address).

We ask for your understanding that the abstract will be published as submitted and that no corrections can be made. If necessary, the organizer reserves the right to change incorrect abstracts without prior consultation.

The submitter allows the organizer to use his contribution (of any kind) free of charge. Irrespective of this, he has the right to re-use his contribution according to his own needs!

Publication of the abstract

By submitting the abstract, the author agrees that the abstract will be published according to the principles of Open Access and that the Creative Commons license Attribution 4.0 International CCBY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) will be used. It is published via the publication portal German Medical Sience (http://www.egms.de/). By submitting his abstract, the submitter grants the organizer free of charge all rights of further exploitation of any kind. Irrespective of this, the entrant retains the possibility of further exploitation according to his own needs.

If the contribution has already been published in whole or in part elsewhere, the original source must be named. If the author publishes a contribution in parallel elsewhere, this should be done after and with reference to the publication at GMS.

The responsibility for the clarification of possible copyrights of third parties regarding the contents of the abstract lies with the authors. Thus the authors guarantee that there are no rights of third parties on your abstract as well as on the provided text, picture and other media templates, etc., which stand in the way of publication. If material (e.g. illustrations or tables) from other sources is used, the authors must submit a written declaration from the copyright holder that he agrees to publication under a license.

We ask for your understanding that the abstract will be published in the form submitted and that no corrections can be made. If necessary, the organizer reserves the right to change incorrect abstracts without prior consultation.

In addition, the abstracts will be published in the archive of the DOC on the event homepage!

German Medical Science

German Medical Science (GMS) is a publication platform where researchers from the medical field can publish their results with quality assurance. GMS publishes online journals, congress publications and research reports. If required, videos or other data can be attached to the publications.

Each congress has its own area within the portal.

The advantages of a publication via GMS:

Each individual contribution is prepared for online publication according to high editorial standards and receives the persistent identifiers DOI and URN, making it quotable. The publication at GMS means that the articles are permanently freely available according to the Open Access principle, can be found via all major search engines and are archived for the long term.
