Scope
The following General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between participants of the offered events (e.g., seminars, courses, etc.) and the organizer, concluded via the organizer’s online registration process.
1. Registration and Confirmation of Registration
Registration is possible only via the online registration tool provided on the organizer’s website for the aforementioned event.
Each participant must register separately with a binding registration. Please note that our registration system has been modernized. Upon first registration, participants must create a personal login for the participant management portal (valid for future events as well). In the first step, the participant must create a customer account and configure their own password. Afterwards, the link received by email must be confirmed to activate the account.
If you are already registered in the participant management portal (e.g., through participation in DOC 2024 or 2025), please use your existing login data. If you no longer have this data, please use the “Forgot Password” function. After successful login, you may book the different options available in the online registration. Upon completion of the booking process, the participant’s registration becomes binding. After sending the online registration, the participant may print a registration protocol of the booking process. In addition, the participant will shortly receive an automatically generated confirmation of receipt by email. Please note that the address provided during registration will be used for sending all relevant participant documents (confirmation of reservation/invoice, participant materials, etc.). Correct registration requires complete entry of address, telephone number, and email address.
If you have not received an invoice within two weeks after registration, please contact the organizer directly via telephone or email.

5. Participant badges
On-site participation
Badges will be sent by post approx. 2 weeks before the congress, provided registration and payment are received at least 2 weeks before the event. Later registrations will not be sent by post; the badge will be available for pickup at the registration desk on site.
A multi-day badge or day badge for on-site participation includes access to the streaming ticket (see below).
Streaming Ticket
Digital participants can log in to the online platform using their email address and self-created password (from the registration process) starting approx. one week before the event to access the congress. No software installation is required.
6. Target Groups of Participants
The congress content primarily addresses physicians of the respective specialties, associated medical staff (OAP, MFA, MTA, etc.), and staff from administration and management. Speakers and chairs (including legal experts, administrators, etc.) as well as staff at exhibition booths are also part of the participant group.
Participant badges are issued with academic titles, if provided. To ensure compliance with the German Drug Advertising Act (HWG), badges are color-coded as follows:
Medical participants, pharmacists: red
Administration, legal, management, non-medical: blue
OAP staff, students: green
Exhibitors, industry: white
Exhibiting companies must comply with the German Drug Advertising Act (HWG). According to §10 HWG, only medical participants and pharmacists may be informed about prescription-only products at exhibition booths. Therefore, only participants with red badges are permitted to visit companies marked in yellow.
7. Realization of the event; changes
General note
The organizer is liable without limitation only for intent and gross negligence of its legal representatives and agents.
The organizer’s liability is generally limited, regardless of the legal grounds, to gross negligence and intent, unless mandatory statutory provisions require further liability.
The organizer is obliged to hold the booked event within the announced timeframe, subject to the provisions below. Events are prepared and conducted by qualified persons. No guarantee is given for the timeliness, accuracy, or completeness of conference materials and/or content. Furthermore, no guarantee is given for achieving a specific outcome from participation.
Postponement or cancellation of program items
The organizer reserves the right to reschedule events or parts thereof (seminars, courses, symposia, wetlabs, etc.) in time or place, or to modify program items. Participants are not entitled to withdraw from the contract as a result. Claims for damages are excluded. The current program is available on the website www.doc-nuernberg.de.
If a significant reason exists (e.g., restrictions due to epidemics, speaker cancellations, insufficient participant numbers), the organizer may cancel the event and terminate the contract. In such cases, both parties are released from their obligations, and participants will be refunded fees already paid. Claims for reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs or loss of work are excluded unless caused by intent or gross negligence of the organizer.
Participants will be informed immediately of significant changes or cancellations.
The organizer is not liable for the presence of announced speakers. In the event of absence, participants are not entitled to claims of any kind. The organizer will attempt to provide adequate substitutes.
Course Capacities and Admission
Limited participant numbers result from available room capacity and hygiene requirements. Full occupancy cannot be excluded. No legal right to participation or reduction/refund of fees exists.
Punctuality
Participants must arrive on time, particularly for wetlabs/drylabs. If a participant is not present within 10 minutes of the course start, the right to participate lapses. No entitlement to participation, later admission, reduction or refund of fees, or damages arises. Timely attendance is required for smooth course conduct.
Exclusion of Liability for Publications
Claims for damages due to errors, omissions, or incomplete publications in print or online are excluded. All rights are reserved. The organizer is not responsible for advertising content. Place of performance and jurisdiction is Nuremberg.
8. Security and Hygiene Measures
MCN GmbH implements the prescribed hygiene and safety measures of the venue operator. This may lead to short-term changes, limitations, or cancellations of program items. Instructions from MCN staff and venue staff must always be followed.
MCN may impose measures such as mandatory masks, distancing, reduced room capacities, or name/address registration.
Persons not complying will be expelled. Attendance is at participants’ own risk. The organizer accepts no liability in case of infection.
9. Data protection
Data collection
By registering, the participant agrees that his/her personal data will be collected and stored in the congress database. This data will be used by the organizer to ensure the services requested by the participant.
By order of public authorities, personal data may also be disclosed to them without the participant's consent.
By registering, the registered participant consents to the organizer using his/her personal data to transmit his/her certification points to the BLÄK via the Electronic Information Distributor (EIV).
Please note that for the digital part, tracking of the attended sessions is necessary for the documentation of the participation and the subsequent certification. For the face-to-face congress, attendees will need to scan in outside the session room. Certification on overlapping program sessions is not possible.
For inquiries, please contact datenschutz@mcn-nuernberg.de
10. Applicable law
The contract and all claims resulting from its execution shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
11. Force Majeure
"Force Majeure" means the occurrence of any event or circumstance by reason of which it becomes impossible or unreasonably difficult for a party to perform one or more of its obligations under the Contract if and to the extent that such party proves:
(a) that such impediment is beyond its reasonable control; and
(b) that it could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of entering into the Contract; and
(c) that the effects of the impediment could not reasonably have been avoided or overcome by the affected party. "Force majeure" includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, war, (partial) business disruption, lockouts, strikes, epidemics or pandemics.
If the organizer justifiably invokes force majeure, the organizer shall be released from its obligation to fulfill its contractual obligations as well as from any liability for damages or other claims for breach of contract as of the occurrence of the impediment. The Organizer shall inform its contractual partners of the force majeure as soon as it becomes aware of it.
12. Liability
The organizer shall be liable without limitation only for intent and gross negligence of its legal representatives and vicarious agents.
In the event of slight negligence, the organizer shall only be liable for the breach of obligations, compliance with which is essential for the achievement of the purpose of the contract (so-called cardinal obligation). A cardinal obligation exists in particular if its fulfillment makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place and the participant regularly relies and may rely on the fulfillment of this obligation. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a cardinal obligation, the liability of the organizer shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.
The above provision shall also apply in favor of employees and vicarious agents of the organizer.
The organizer is not responsible for the contents of abstracts prepared by third parties. There shall be no claims for damages against the organizer for incorrect and incomplete publications prepared by third parties.
Furthermore, there is no claim for damages for faulty and incomplete publications on the homepage.
If the event cannot be held due to epidemics / pandemics or infection control measures, the organizer is not liable for consequential damages such as travel expenses. Claims for damages cannot be asserted.
13. Gender note
For readability, masculine forms are used throughout. All personal designations apply equally to all genders.
14. Severability clause
Should one of the provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the economic sense and purpose of the invalid provision. The same shall apply in the event of a gap in the contract.
15. Consumer arbitration, information according to § 36 VSBG
The organizer is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
16. Withdrawal policy for online registrations
